“Hi, my name is Buraczek
and I work here as a beet chauffeur.

When the season starts, I put on my chauffeur`s cap and take my sweet colleagues from September until December to the sugar factory. First that sounds ghoulish, but refinded we make the world sweeter – in the shape of sugar, sugar specialities, glucosesirup, starch, fruit preparations, fruit juice concentrate and also for feed, functional ingredients, ethanol or biogas we are real All-rounder.

Thereby we already settled the roots of our success in the middle of the 18th century. We let ourselves be nurtured, cared for and refined. In the process we became sweeter and sweeter. We can now proudly call ourselves THE most important sugar plant and cultivated form in temperate latitudes. That is why our genus has been given a special name: “Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris”. Ingenious, isn´t it?

3 months it´s not all about the sausage but about the beet – about me and my “round” or rather misshapen colleagues.
Every time I’m looking forward to the start of the sugar beet campaign. Driving a truck is simply my thing. I’m my own boss and I like to take the responsibility to give my beet-family a ride. Especially when I get the curve with full speed and my sweet colleagues are dancing tango on the loading platform.

As a sugar beet chauffeur who masters his tasks with heart, team spirit and plenty of beet power, I can proudly say that – despites my size – I have become a real symbol.

That´s why my bosses always treat me with respect and look after my well-being. As a beet chauffeur, I simply feel appreciated here – because I’m needed and because I simply have what it takes.

When the sugar beet harvest is over, I get the satisfying feeling of having achieved something together. Because the team is cool and the friendships I`ve made here are simply priceless.“
